2 1/2" Attack Line - Hosted by Edmond Fire Rescue

Class Description:

Students learn that reduced staffing or water supply does not automatically reduce your fire attack potential. The 2½-inch attack line is a larger line, but it is still a single line. Through training, education, and proper equipment selection, any department can effectively deploy and initiate an attack with the bigger weapon. Join us for a 4 hour program starting with a classroom session followed by hands on skills and drills. The class will take place at the Edmond Fire Rescue Regional Training Center (5300 E. Covell, Edmond, OK 73034).

Topics Covered:

  • Why the 2 1/2" attack line and when
  • Equipment selection
  • Apparatus set up
  • Line Deployment
  • Nozzle handling techniques
  • Hit and move attack
