The Field Service Division of the City's Public Works Department maintains public infrastructure, including street maintenance, traffic control, and water and wastewater line maintenance.

The City of Edmond Public Works Department is made up of several divisions. The Solid Waste Services division provides municipal trash collection, bulk collection, residential curbside recycling and household hazardous waste collection. Also included in the Department of Public Works is Vehicle Maintenance and Fleet Management, who acquire, maintain and repair the City's fleet of vehicles. The Facility Maintenance division of Public Works maintains more than 130 City owned buildings and structures, keeping them safe and in good condition. Additionally, Public Works Administration provides a call center and handles all recording of field work, asset history, payroll, budget management, accounts payable and other administrative duties for the entire department.
