As part of this year's Arbor Week, we will return to give these trees a little TLC by spreading mulch around them. 2. Arbor Day Tree Planting

    March 25, 10:00 AM - 12:30 PM @ Mitch Park

At the seventh annual Arbor Day Tree Planting, volunteers will plant 29 trees in Mitch Park near the West Field monument. The planting area spans the front of the YMCA, between the east edge of the parking lot and Marilyn Williams Dr. Volunteers should wear comfortable clothing, close toed shoes, and sun protection. Work gloves will be provided, but we encourage volunteers to bring their Urban Forestry work gloves from previous events to use. If volunteers would like to bring their own tools they are welcome to, but Urban Forestry will provide some shovels. As with past years, Urban Forestry will provide lunch at the conclusion of the planting. This year's Volunteer Group of the Year Award winner will be announced at the event as well.
