Santa Fe Avenue Overlay to Begin on Tuesday

Work to resurface a ½ mile section of Santa Fe Avenue is slated to begin Tuesday, March 21st.  The project is expected to take approximately one week with cooperative weather.

The area of Santa Fe Avenue to be resurfaced is from Sorghum Mill Road to ½ mile south of Waterloo Road.  The road will remain open during this time, but traffic will be reduced to one lane each direction with the use of flaggers.  Motorists should expect delays and are encouraged to find an alternate route if possible.

This resurfacing is part of the scheduled 2016-17 Mill & Overlay projects for the City of Edmond.  Markwell Paving is the contractor for these projects with a total cost of $1,954,811.80.
