Beginning immediately, the Soldier Creek Bridge on Anderson Road has been reopened to north/south traffic. The bridge is located on Anderson Road approximately 0.4 miles south of Coffee Creek Road.
The bridge, constructed in 1937, was closed in May 2015 after inspectors deemed it structurally deficient. Edmond Field Services crews completed final repairs to the bridge over the past three months to allow the reopening.
In 2012, the weight limit was lowered to three tons as a measure to preserve the structure. However, new repairs will permit the bridge weight limit to be raised to 23 tons.
