Scheduling Inspections
Edmond Building Services provides three ways to schedule inspections. Online, via an Interactive Voice Response System or by calling our office at (405) 359-4782.

To schedule inspections using our Interactive Voice Response System, follow the instructions listed below.
Before you call, make sure you:
- Have your site specific permit number
- Know the inspection code for your request
- Have pertinent information for the inspector (e.g. lockbox number, phone number, etc.)
The earliest inspection date for calls after 7 a.m. would be for the next working day.
While every effort is made to accommodate your requested inspection date, specific dates cannot be guaranteed and previously scheduled inspections may have to be rescheduled due to unforeseen circumstances.
You can use a phone keypad or speak your responses to schedule, cancel/re-schedule or retrieve inspection results. You will be prompted through the entire process. However, you may respond without listening to the entire prompt.

Scheduling An Inspection (using your phone’s keypad)
- Call (405) 216-7400
- Press 1 to schedule an inspection
- Enter the Permit Type
- Press 1 for Building
- Press 2 for Electrical
- Press 3 for Plumbing
- Press 4 for Mechanical
- Press 5 for Swimming pool
- Press 6 for Drive Approach
- Press 7 for House Moving
- Press 8 for Fire Inspection
- Press 9 for Fire Suppression
- Press 10 for Fire Alarm
- Enter your permit number (numeric portion only)
- Enter the inspection code that corresponds with the inspection you are requesting.

- Enter the date (format = mm/dd/yyyy) you want the inspection
- If the inspection is for a footing, form or change out, you will be prompted to:
- Press 1 for Morning
- Press 2 for Afternoon
- For footings and forms only, you may request a particular time for your inspection by leaving a message for the inspector when asked if you would like to leave pertinent information. If there is a scheduling conflict, the inspector will call you the morning of the inspection.
- If the inspection is for a footing, form or change out, you will be prompted to:
- Leave additional Information
- Press 1 (Yes) to leave pertinent information (lock box number & phone number)
- Press 2 (No) to continue without leaving additional details
- Enter your response
- Press 1 (Yes) to schedule another inspection for the same permit
- Press 2 (No) to conclude scheduling process
- Receive a confirmation number
- Be sure to retain the confirmation number for future reference.
- To Finish:
- Press 1 (Yes) to return to the main menu
- Repeat the process to schedule another inspection with a different permit number
- Press 2 (No) and Hang up
- Press 1 (Yes) to return to the main menu

Cancelling or Rescheduling an inspection (using your phone’s keypad)
- Call (405) 216-7400
- Press 2 to cancel or reschedule an inspection
- Enter the Permit Type
- Press 1 for Building
- Press 2 for Electrical
- Press 3 for Plumbing
- Press 4 for Mechanical
- Press 5 for Swimming pool
- Press 6 for Drive Approach
- Press 7 for House Moving
- Press 8 for Fire Inspection
- Press 9 for Fire Suppression
