Survey Monuments
The City of Edmond maintains survey monuments for land surveyors to use as known reference points. At least one monument is surveyed with each new residential and commercial construction project. This enables the city to accurately depict the location of the water lines, sanitary sewer lines and other public improvements in the city's Geographic Information System (GIS).
To access individual monument data files, first choose what quadrant of the city the monument is in. Once you are on the correct quadrant's page, simply click on the yellow dot that represents the monument on the map. All data sheets are in pdf format and their individual file sizes range from 27 KB - 92 KB. Please carefully note which monument information you have clicked on once you are looking at the PDF file to make sure it is the correct one. Some monuments are geographically close together on the map and it's possible to click on the wrong one accidentally.
You can also download all monument data files in one document. It is 13.0 MB in size, so a broadband internet connection is recommended. You will need Acrobat Reader to view it.
