Arts and Humanities Council
The Arts and Humanities Council meets the third Tuesday of every month (except August) at 5:30 pm in the Downtown Community Center located at 28 East Main. The Council consists of 16 members appointed by the Mayor to serve three year terms including a youth member serving a one year term. Members of the City Council alternate and serve on the council for six month terms. The mission of the Edmond Arts & Humanities Council is to promote, foster & coordinate arts activities in Edmond. The purpose of the Council is to promote arts and humanities in Edmond through special programs, by supporting other arts and humanities organizations, providing a resource for volunteers, and promoting a performing arts center in Edmond.
