Firehouse Chili Recipe
 

Ingredients: 
  • 2 lbs Chili Meat
  • 1 lb of Beef Chuck
  • 1 large chopped White Onion
  • 1 chopped Green Pepper
  • 1 chopped Red Pepper
  • 1 tsp of Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp of Seasoning Salt
  • 1-12 oz Can of Whole Tomatoes
  • 1-12 oz Can of Rotel (degree of heat is up to your taste)
  • 1-14 ½ oz Can of Beef Broth
  • 2 Chicken Bouillon Cubes
  • 2 Beef Bouillon Cubes
  • 2 ½ tsp of Onion Powder
  • 3 tsp of Garlic Powder
  • 7 tbsp. of Chili Powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp White Pepper
  • 1 tsp. Cayenne Pepper
  • 4 tsp Cumin
  • ½ tsp. of Brown Sugar


Brown the Chili Meat and Beef Chuck. Add the Chopped Onion, chopped Green and Red Peppers, Olive Oil and Seasoning Salt.

After the meat is browned, add the Whole Tomatoes, Rotel, Beef Broth, Chicken and Beef Bouillon Cubes, 2 tsp. Onion Powder, 1 tsp. Garlic Powder, 1 tbsp. Chili Powder, Salt, and White Pepper. Bring mixture to a slight boil, then reduce heat and simmer for one hour.

After one hour, add 6 tbsp. Chili Pepper, 2 tsp. Garlic Powder, Cayenne Pepper, Cumin, Brown Sugar, and ½ tsp. Onion Powder. Bring ingredients back to a boil, then reduce heat to simmer for at least one more hour.

Enjoy! Contents will be hot, so be very careful not to get burned.
