Our lifeguards are trained to prevent accidents and to perform first responder care. Direct and constant supervision of children is the responsibility of parents and adult guardians. Pelican Bay managers and staff have the right to enforce rules and remove unruly patrons. Bathing Load 766.
Rules
- Children 11 and under must be accompanied by an adult parent or guardian responsible for their direct and constant supervision
- All groups must adhere to group ratios. Please ask front desk for a copy of group ratios.
- Patrons must shower, using hot water and soap, before entering the pool water. Lotions, oil and similar products must be removed prior to entering the water.
- Smoking, Alcohol, Drugs, Glass Containers and Weapons or prohibited.
- Patrons with open wounds, bandages, or any symptom of any communicable disease, diarrhea, respiratory infections & head lice are not allowed in the water.
- Persons with medical conditions please register at the desk, so we may better assist you in the event of an emergency.
- Disposable diapers are not allowed in the pool at anytime. Swim diapers must be approved and fitted for children using them.
- Do not change diapers at poolside or on chairs, use special area provided in bathhouse.
- Bathers must wear clean swimming attire. No cut offs, street clothes or shoes allowed.
- Floatation devices are not allowed except for Coast Guard approved fitted life jackets upon special request.
- Pushing, fighting, shoving, running or horseplay will not be tolerated.
- Diving allowed only in specified area.
- Climbing on pipes or handrails is not allowed. No playing on stairs.
- Waterslide riders must be at least 48" tall. Non-swimmers are not permitted on large slides.
- Feet first and one at a time when sliding down slides. Review detailed water slide rules posted at top of slide landing.
- Do not grab hold of or play around main drain grates. Please notify management if the grates are missing or loose.
- Lockers are available in each bathhouse and locks maybe purchased at ticket counter. The City of Edmond is not responsible for loss of money or personal belongings.
- No ice chests, food, gum or drinks allowed. Keep food & drink items in Snack Bar area.
- Report accidents, safety concerns, repairs, bathhouse needs and any concerns to staff.
- No animals in the pool area except service animals upon request.
- Do not swim alone with out the presence of a lifeguard.
- Pelican Bay Staff has the authority to enforce any policy that will help ensure the safety and enjoyment of our guests.
