Itty Bitty Beach Party

This is a safety day to teach simple and basic safety rules to young children. Edmond Parks and Recreation lifeguards, water safety instructors, and staff will teach water safety issues, and the kids will have a chance to swim at the closing of the event! Pre-register! Register online using Rec Express, by phone or in person at the Parks & Recreation office

5th Annual Pelican Bay Lifeguard Expo

Continuous training is necessary to maintain lifeguarding skills and knowledge. At Pelican Bay our philosophy stresses that it is important to problem-solve and overcome adverse situations that might arise during a rescue effort. At the Pelican Bay Expo you can watch this training right from your deck chair! Technically challenging accident simulations will be acted out in which lifeguards are evaluated on their adherence to treatment standards.
