Fire Watch
The Edmond Fire Prevention Office provides fire safety inspections to the business community. Fire safety inspections serve two functions.
-
We provide a vehicle for the City to help you maintain a fire safe atmosphere for the public and your employees.
-
We provide a way for you to report any unusual conditions we may encounter should we respond to an emergency at your business.
Fire Watch is a voluntary program that serves as a venue for qualified businesses to perform self-inspections of their premises. Because Edmond has a strong commercial base of more than 4,000 businesses, it's very difficult for us to inspect every business.
Those who qualify will receive a packet of information on how to participate. To determine if your business qualifies, call (405) 216-7303.
If you qualify and decide you do not want to participate in the program, we'll add you to our list of businesses for which we will be conducting on-site inspections. If your business receives the packet, but would like us to our annual visits to your business, just let us know by calling (405) 216-7303 or by email.
