Hazardous Waste

Disposing of Household Hazardous Waste

Thanks to today’s chemical technologies, household chores are easier. Household and "do-it-yourself" products have never been more abundant ... and never more toxic. To keep our homes and environment safe, we need to use and dispose of household products in a responsible manner.

Dumping hazardous products down the drain or into a roadside storm drain can contaminate our soil and drinking water. Placing hazardous chemicals in the trash can cause serious injury to our employees and result in explosions or fires that cause severe damage to equipment. Chemicals can mix in the collection truck and some mixtures and combinations can be explosive.

Where to Dispose of HHW

You can use the Oklahoma City Facility at SW 15th and Portland to dispose of, or recycle, your Hazardous Household Waste (HHW) for the following fees:

You will be required to show proof of residency with a valid driver's license and current Edmond utility statement. When we receive the invoice from Oklahoma City, we will bill the fee on your monthly utility bill.
