In response to the increasing numbers of COVID-19 cases in Edmond and Oklahoma County, the City of Edmond is returning to restricted public access at most city offices on Monday, July 13th. This change is being made for the safety of city employees and the citizens that interact with them.
“We continue to be mindful of current trends and this decision helps encourage safe social distancing in our offices,” said City Manager Larry Stevens. “I am confident that our employees will still provide a high level of service to citizens as they did when we restricted building access during the Spring months.”
Citizens are encouraged to call the department that they need assistance from before making a trip to the office. Arrangements will then be made based upon the needs of the caller. To find contact information for specific departments, please visit http://edmondok.com or there will also be contact numbers placed on the individual doors of city office buildings for those without access to the website.
For those that are given access to enter a city building, masks will be required and provided if needed. The mask requirement does include golfers when entering the clubhouse at Kickingbird Golf Club.
